How long have you been waiting?? I can give you a tip about the form 2. There is a 1-800 number you can phone and they will fax or email the form to you immediately. I will call the guy I got it from tommorow. I phoned and had an email 2 minutes later and then just printed it off. On top of that if you want to pm me I can tell you where to take your car so the inspection is done in 5 min. No lie, I was in and out with a signed form in 5 minutes. I’ll send you that number tomorrow!
My car is going into storage this Sunday… Hope it doesn’t snow begor that.
The stock tear drops won’t even fit around SR brakes, by a few mm’s.[/quote]
arg… can anyone verify this? what about s14 style tear drops?
would 3mm spacers on the front work?
thanks a bunch :drinkers:
I can verify it by showing you my wheels. The top of the caliper scrapes against the inside of the rim. Spacers won’t do anything, as its not rubbing near the spokes, its on the inside circular part of the wheel. One wheel scraped really bad, the other just barely scraped at all. I only drove out of my garage with them on… If you’re desperate, maybe throw them on and let them grind each other down haha.
i might just take a grinder to my calipers, take off a few mm :o
well atleast i scored underground heated parking this winter woohooo
Umm what? You’re going to park 2 cars? What’s your winter car Ryan?
LOL no just the Renault… The Sentra will be my winter driver :E I only paid 21,000 for a winter beater…
anyone know if these will fit around SR front brakes?
i may be able to get some 89-90 stock 7 stars
Stock 7 spokes clear 180 brakes. Not by much but they do. I remember when i did it i got a rock stock between the caliper and wheel
parked the rides for the winter at the start of the month and drive the 180 every few days when it is nice … I am going to ride it out until the first snowfall
werd… i work at home, don’t drive my car daily, plus i scored underground heated parking in my new place… :E
ok. a few people on the board told me tear drop 15" wouldn’t fit around SR brakes.
I did a test fit, and they fit fine, with 5mm+ of clearance.
whats up with that? was there more than 1 version of tear drop wheels?
They didn’t fit over mine… Like they just barely physically fit over the brakes. I was able to bolt them up, but they scraped the inside of the wheels. Not the flat part of the spokes but where round inner part of the wheel. Like the top part of the caliper rubbed. Its not that the calipers stuck out to far, its that they were too high. Get what I mean?
Finnaly got it put away tonight. I am still waiting for a few parts from Japan I was hoping to get them on the car before I put it away but I guess I have something to look forward to in the spring.
parked on saturday, a little part of me died with it.
I shed a tear when I put the cover on for the last time this season.
im driving my car until it turns until a shovel.
Car parked and covered last night, I was crying inside. Oh well I guess, seeing as it’s pretty hard to drive anyway without a clutch.
car was parked as of saturday…started it up today to check something and she sure the hell doesn’t like the cold
