Photos from the 2008 Hod Rod Power Tour (56k Warning)

I just got home after 4 days of the Power Tour, working for Tremec and helping with their new display. This year it started in Little Rock, AR and then traveled through Missouri, then to Kansas, then Nebraska, then into Iowa, then Minnesota and finishes in Wisconsin on Friday.

Even with the gas prices, there were still several long haulers making the entire trip.

Hopefully, next year it’s somewhere other than the boring mid-west.

Onto the pic’s…

The new Tremec rig with vinyl wrap.

Arkansas has tons of abandoned buildings scattered along the roadside. I thought these gas pumps made for a good photo op.

Trinity Restoration trailered an Eleanor resto-mod to the event. It drew a ton of attention and made a nice addition to the Tremec display.

Go Baby Go!

I don’t follow F1 cars too closely, but I think this might have been one of Dancia Patrick’s cars?

Some sort of modified lawn tractor. Not sure what it had to do with Sta-bil products.

One of the Golden Eagle/Sta-bil guys getting interviewed by the girls for Hot Rod Magazine.

I loved this. Replica of the Wagonqueen Family Truckster with LS2 swap. I ran into Rob Kinnan over the weekend and he said he’s doing an article in the Editors Choice section of an upcoming issue of Hot Rod.

Some random photo’s.

AMC Pacer with a small block Chevy.

Very Nice.

What do you do ?

Thanks, I work in advertising.

where’s your next adventure? cool job

Bigblockelcamino Jeff spoiled your fun about the “griswold” truckster on http://www.lsxperformanceparts.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2173&highlight=truckster

Looks like a good time.

I did the long haul last year. Arkansas is a dump.

Can you get some deals from Tramec? I need a spare T56.

I love the Griswold wagon.

nice pics

Very Nice.

Nice pics… I bet it was a good time!

Very nice pics, cars’ look amazing

Looks awesome. I can’t wait to have a car worthy enough to roll the power tour.

The only ones I know for sure are the Super Chevy Show at Summit Raceway in July and NMCA LSX Shootout in October in Memphis, TN.

I just signed up for that board, awaiting activation.

Next year I want to drive it in something other than a rental car. If my car is running good and the body gets cleaned up a bit, I’m taking it.

I don’t actually work for Tremec. Events like this are usually contracted out except for one or two guys and they only sell their trannies through about 10 vendors. Transmissions can’t be bought direct.

I still have a ton of photos to sort through. If I find any good ones, I’ll post it up.

sweet…i know the JJ’s Automotive Crew will be going to Memphis this again, we went last year…it was a blast

some awesome looking cars there. sounds like you had a blast even though arkansas is a dump.
