That second one is really cool, definitely captures the moment.
Found this guy over in Cohoes by the Falls yesterday, was really cool to watch. There was a second one I saw earlier but wasn’t able to photograph.
Did you get that 200 2.8L, Adam? :excited
Yeah, lens is so sick. Thing is insanely sharp and the AF is much nicer than my cheap lenses. All the bird shots are with that lens wide open too, I couldn’t be happier. Got it for 580 used, now I’m jonesing for a newer rebel to hold me over til a full frame is in my budget.
awesome work quattro, what kinda bird is the first ? any clue
and details on the shot…
First bird was just a regular ring billed gull, taken over at Collins Lake in Scotia. Iso 200 f2.8 1/2400 sec. Baldie pics were same settings but the shutter was a bit slower 1/800 or there abouts. Camera is the original rebel 300d and lens is the 200mm f2.8l. The bald eagles are regulars at the falls and nearby power plant on Crescent Rd. In cohoes. Usually perched in trees along the river bank.
took this last night with my 4s
