just got myself a nice ar but I still want to bolt a couple more things onto it. Got to keep the zombies at a distance:
^ Nice. Caliber?
.223 or 5.56, its the DPMS that accepts both with no problems
All 5.56 will fire .223 … not all .223 will fire 5.56. Almost every AR is built for 5.56
After all that’s said, what kind of ammo are you shooting out of it? It looks to be set up for varmint distance.
I have had the best luck with horaday 75gr for off the shelf ammo for presision shots.
Did you sell your varmint upper yet? I’m building one soon for multiple caliber uppers.
I know, I wanted to make sure I got a 5.56 for that reason, but I thought it was different for the gun to be stamped “5.56 or .223”. I picked up some federal .62 grain to zero in my scope.
When it comes to the scope, I currently have a 3-9 on it, and I am not sure if I want to go up to a 4-16x50. I am using it for target shooting, and some hunting from my tree stand.
I am going to put a bi-pod on it for sure, upgrade the trigger to a 1.5 lb pull, and tossing up the scope idea.
Yeah, I sold it and picked up an ruger .40c
Been keeping my eye out for random parts, just been busy.
Nice ARs for sure. i need to pick one up sometime
In the meantime…
629 44mag. Unfired. Absolutly perfect with the hogue tamers. Gonna put a big scope on it I think
and
Smith model 66 357 mag unfired. Traced serial to 1972. Ive always wanted a model 19 (66 is just a stainless 19). Early bday gift from the girlfriend!
I <3 Hogue grips! Nice grabs.
Carl is winning this thread. Holy hell. :sb:
Thanks. Got them from a retired cop for a really good price. Most people want full retail for their stuff, this guy gave me a nice break
That model 66 is sweet! I love both my model 19-4s. I’ll have to post my pictures of taking the snub out for the first time.
Very nice. I saw the pic of the one like what you bought, I like it
Ok here is the new snub. It shoots really well, .357
Set up target at ~8 yards. Shoot at little man in the corner.

Damn that’s pretty nice. Now you have me excited to shoot mine! Hopefully soon…
You’ll love it. So much so that you may not ever want to shoot anything else ever again lol. Killer find!
Nothing like a gun that smells like fresh cordite.
I added a Remington M887 12 guage and a Colt 1860 Army revolver in .44 that is a blackpowder cap/ball gun… for 200 each brand new, why not. Besides when the Zombie’s come the ammo supply will eventually run out and the 1860 will be the last revovler standing.
My permit finally came though. Now I just need to transfer it to a different county, because 5 pistols is obviously just not going to cut it.
