just so you know… when you get your car power polished, every time you go, you slowly remove some of the paint.

but to answer your question, one of the guys on here works for a detailing shop. i think his online name is 04specv. id pm him first, im sure you will save a lot going to his work.

all i know is its a place directly across from park muffler in the park.

I agree, I had seen some of their work on a 2007 Escalade!! AWESOME!!

Yeah the guy across from Park Muffler Does some awsome work.

Whats the shop’s name? And who is the guy like his name?

that shop is called ‘the buffer zone’ is it not?
i’d be interested in a price quote for a power polish… group discount? :drinkers:

like i said just PM him. his online name is 04specv.

 well lets get a group buy going here. Since there is more than just me interestead …

hey i;m down …but wha does does it do to the car. make it more shiny…cause i have some clear coat fading away will that help

pretty much. they clean ur paint with clay bar , than use powerpolisher and random compounds to polish up the clear coat and get rid of scratches, swirls, dull spots and other imperfections you got that aren’t primer or paintcoat itself deep.
Every time you powerpolish generally u rub off/ polish off about 1-3% of your clearcoat depending on depth of scratches etc.So not something you should be doing every sunday. You can wash and wax it every sunday afterwards to keep it in mirror like shape.

Put me on the list, son.

you can put me on the list. if its under 100$ ill prob do it.

im down

^x2

 GOT A REPLY FROM BUFFER ZONE :

I can defenatly help you out and give a good price. The price varies on the paint conditions and what kind of job you are looking for.A quick shine starts at 200 cash,a showroom shine can get up to 700 cash. If you want stop by the shop monday to friday about nine to five and ask for Ryan.Thats me.Id be happy to do them all on a weekend or two.

AND I posted a few more quotes in the 1st post.

$200 cash wtf…

man we could all just chip in for 2-3 power buffers and then buy some expensive polish and just all meet up and do our own cars to our liking.
hell i bet we could even return them when we are done as long as they appear to be new.

did you PM 04specv? or did you directly call the business?

im sure we can do better then 200$ through him.

double post, sorry! :?

Ryan is the guy I had spoke with that owns the silver spec!

yah i pmed RYan thats the offer i got from him few posts up.

Well i don’t mind spending $200-250 either at buffer zone or at detail majic or whatever… as long as its done right.

A good rottary or orbital powerpolisher goes for about 200-400$ and a set of polishes, pads etc is another $60-100 depending on what your car needs. Good wax alone is 20-30$

And than washing, clay etc takes good 3-5 hours depending on the shape of things.

Not to get into possible expensses it will cost you to repaint a few pannels if you screw up majorly and burn through the clear coat till you get a hang of things.
Using cheap polishers just gets you shine. No scraches/swirles or blemishes will be removed and no wetlook at the end.Same as handpolish just takes less time.
Detailing properly is an investment haha so i rather just pay someone to do it right the 1st time.

i guess its not as easy as it sounds lol, ill take your advice and not try it myself.
