I knew a kid in middle school who was a really smart guy and also a big smartass. We had this state English test that they told us counted for nothing but we had to try our hardest because they were going to gauge a real test for next years 8th graders of off of it. The essay topic was how the required reading for the year related to your family life and how you live day to day.

This kid wrote what he describes as a very devolped and grammatically sound 700 word essay on how Curling should not be an olympic sport. He got 5 out of 5 credited points for it. I always loved that one.
