:stuck_out_tongue: Okay then!

(Nice car, BTW)

Thank-you.

So um can you hook me up with some of these pounds? 8)

And i’m 18

I “think” if you add cheese to the quarter pound, you’ll get where he’s going with that.

Props to you Nite if you managed to save most, if not all, doing that. Really shows that anyone can hve what they want if there motivated and work hard.

Easy 8)

I didn’t really do anything illegal, it was a joke.
It’s a combination of a lot of things, and a lot of luck.

wow, I work fulltime, make decent $$, live at home

all you youngins got it good, nice to know you can make/spend your $$ and be happy, enjoy it while it last kiddies

i’m 23 by the way, HAHA

Waaah… School really rapes your funds… Consider 28 hours of class a week, atleast 2 hours of break in between every day and a 3 hour daily commute. Factor in the $6000 a year tuition, and chip in with the $170 a textbook average cost. Now think about 6 courses that need textbooks… and most need TWO. Long story short, $1600 for textbooks. $20 a week on subway tokens, $20 a week on gas, $60 a week on girlfriend.
Now work for 22 hours a week.
When do you study, when do you sleep?

hence why school is fucking retarded…

i have everythingi want including my own business and didnt bother with post secondary…

now isnt that a slap in the face for you people…

GT

you can’t always be as fortunate as you have though

fortunate…

friggen work hard and anythign is possible.

GT

aint that the truth!

iono, i seriously feel like i am falling behind.

i am a young 22 and still in university… i thought i fast-tracked highschool and some of university but apparently not.

i own my car and have some nice things but frig do i want some serious $$$…

if a a b.comm and professional designations dont pay off i am going to become a sniper…

The amount of people that try what you did, fail miserably and end up on the street is quite large. Just cause it worked for you, doesn’t mean it’s worth the risk for everyone. I can open up a shop, have it bomb and lose unfunny amounts of cash. I dunno… diff ppl think differently… I’m not really into risk taking.

And I don’t believe that you can achieve anything through hard work, I firmly believe that a substantial amount of luck is needed as well.

:thumleft:

same here…

luck ? there is no such thing… either you can, or cannot do it.
as for failing… as long as you take a general business course or know how to manage/make money… there is no problem! its when they get greedy or dont know how to properly qoute a job.

if you have everything you want you need to start wanting more…

as you achieve certain goals you should be setting new ones that are reaosnably attainable and long term goals to which your short term ones lead.

at present i have everything i “need” as far as the bottom couple levels of maslows heirarchy, but i’ll be damned if i dont run the country and then the entire free world by 35 years of age…lol

and if i dont… SNIPER TIME!!!

luck is a pretty huge factor actually.

luck comes into play when you are fortunate to have parents or family who share their resources with you when if you were an outsider you would not qualify for such opportunity.

i am luckier than some in that my family lets me live for free and crap.

but one of my best friends is luckier that pretty much everyone:

-family flew him to colorado springs
-give him laptop and $3000 worth of trading software
-puts him up in a luxury condo
-gives him $50,000 hedge account to play with
-gramma buys cars, pays insurance of over $1000 usd per month as secondary driver due to multiple major accidents at fault
-paid in cash beyond costs of living
-free luxury furniture, rent, use of other cars
-cousins buys $3million challenger jet and they fly to Vale on weekends to snowboard

no post secondary education

family = good.

if you are 25 or younger and have all you need, chances are it is because your family hooked you up.

no shame in that either, just dont act like you grew everything from the ground up yourself.

24 turning 25 in a month and it sucks. All i can say is enjoy the time you have at home there youngins. Eventually there will come a time when you gotta start worrying about bills. As for the whole education thing it is well worth it as i can say that i have managed to rack up 25 g’s in debt but there were many a parties and i met some very good people. TO those of you that started your own companies congrats to you especially in these times you know what i am talking about.

Cheers

Luck is bullshit. It’s all about who you network with and how hard you are willing to work for it. If you know the right people and work hard for them and with them you’ll make it with no problems. The reason most small businesses fail is due to total stupidity and newbness. Don’t be a newb.

BTW I’m 23ish and proud to be an overacheiving Janitor.

I’m 18, turning 19 in May.
