^ What do you do, use bulb and just close the shutter after you see some decent lightning? I need to pick up a remote before next summer.
just did 2 sec shutter on tripod
^ Showoff, oh and jay the ML-3 remotes are like 12 bucks, and a are a great investment IMO
I only saw them for like 20+
Yeah, it’s less waiting to buy one and more I keep forgetting to order one.

 to boardjnky4 for the link.
Pretty much. Lightning is bright as hell so you can usually get away with it. A more sure fire way of doing it is take a normal pic that makes the cityscape look darker than it should, and make it a nice long exposure, and just keep taking pictures over and over until one catches lightning.
It’s a serious PITA to shoot lightning. I’ve never had the patience.
Yeah, between the lack of remote and what I’ve read about it being a big PITA I haven’t even tried.
That, and our storms are usually pretty weak. If you see more than one bolt in the sky at the same time it’s rare.
 to pictures I know you didn’t take (hosted on wikipedia)
wow you are one smart dude…
Says the guy who can’t read in post #1 “post one that YOU took”.
:ohnoes:these pics give me hope…ill take pics like this one day
Wow snow! I’m shocked.
3.5"
Whole town just up and shut down lol
LOL, we haven’t seen anything more than flurries yet here but I can imagine this area would shut down too.
LOL
I hope Liss is still trying to ride that scooter
she hasn’t in a while. it’s all covered up.
It would be super funny if she got nerdy goggles and a scarf and rode it around though. lol.
