I’m not quite sure what you mean. The modem is capped by the bootfile we give you through billing, there is no way to uncap that simply because its a queued file that is unchangeable.
I know it’s just in trials but even on the Buffalo network we don’t use anything to monitor individual bandwith, just individual CMTS’.
(Sorry Kevin, so I can’t track how much ish you download )
This won’t go live ever.
FIOS>*
It just wont work in a market like Buffalo, there are too many competitors.
really? back when I had TW internet, I looked into uncapping the modem, and I thought I read that alot of people got caught doing it… maybe I’m going crazy or something lol
time warner, and verizon?
Its not like we have dslxtreme here or anything.
Our internet choices are very very restrictive here.
Time warner is a complete ripoff.
I’ll stick with my 29 dollar dsl.
Even just one competitor is enough. There are still markets where broadband providers have a complete monopoly.
TW does it here, everyone jumps ship to FIOS, or DSL if they dont need high-end broadband. With Sprint and Verizon offering decent broadband wireless, they’re becoming a viable option as well (my Dad’s gf just went to Verizon wirelesss and loves it) Hell, people like my parents could go back down to 56k and never know the difference.
