DUI suspect crashes into police car

There is no good time for a vehicle to go out of control, but a Butler County woman’s timing was particularly bad today.
That’s because she did it while a state police car was approaching. After the crash, police charged her with driving under the influence.
Police said Deborah Young, 36, of Chicora, was heading east on Route 68 in Oakland Township when her SUV went onto the berm as she rounded a curve at 2:08 a.m. She pulled back onto the roadway too far and struck the oncoming patrol car.
Young was not injured, but the trooper driving the other car, John Stutz, 38, of Butler, had minor shoulder and back injuries. His partner, Trooper Greg Brandt, 30, of Butler, was not injured.
All involved were wearing seat belts.
