have these emblems what i believe is nos Shelby Cobra emblems, both fender, and glove box (?) all three have part # C90B-6542508-A . Got them from an older guy and the original wax paper over the adhesive looks pretty old. Cobra experts? At first i thought they were SVT but i noticed both fender emblems face the same way and they eyes are not outlined in black like the newer cobras/svts. thanks
A quick google of the number makes them lean more towards NOS. Whether they are originals or NOS replicas is to be determined, but I can say that the originals were made of pewter instead of pot metal.
hmm… magnet doesnt stick
it wouldn’t as neither pewter(zinc and copper. used to be zinc+lead) or pot metal(zinc and aluminum) are magnetic.
thank you for that fine information. id like to toss em on ebay but dont want to mislead anyone.
Those are 1968 Shelby GT500KR front fender; 1969-1970 Shelby Convertible Quarter Panel snake emblems. Throw them up on ebay for $150 for all 3. They sell them repro for about 20 each.
^ I’d trust his judgment on this topic.
thanks a lot guys, wait so 2 are 69-70 and the other 68? That might be kinda hard to list as a set. What would be an appropriate title for the set?? thankss
no, he just listed the particular car model year and fitment location of the cars those emblems belong on.
C9 is a designation for 69, those were used on the 69-70 Shelby on the roof along with a “COBRA” emblem located right below them. A lot of the emblems appear to be the same sometimes but I double checked the part #.
id just put new old stock 68-70 Shelby emblems
These are the repro ones for the 69/70 Shelby I personally would list them as that.

I should have kept the GT500 KR fender emblems someone had stuck on my 69 Mach 428 SCJ, a lot of these emblems are crazy $$. The guy that bought my Mach 1 had it restored by a shop that does high dollar cars like this GT500 KR

my old car is under the SCJ, they changed the color to red though which was stupid. It was all date code matching from the rear end to the engine…I took a lot of time going through every piece and writing the date codes down and cataloging the part #'s to verify it was correct.
thanks a lot big red and everyone else. :thumbup
