Shift Build: Urban assault vehicle.

Photo/written step by step build of my Subaru as a great “urban assault vehicle” DD which will be able to do most things, without spending big bucks.

Things to cover in each feature

  • Hidden Valentine 1 install
  • Convenient GPS setup with Blue Tooth
  • Sound insulation
  • Trailer packadge install
  • HID’s
  • Subaru rumble

Goal is to make an older car, similar to new cars in features but for a fraction of the cost.

my car is a far better build for urban assault vehicle !!! plus, aren’t assault vehicles supposed to move under their own power :)

Bah, it will move, it will just be at 5K Rpm’s in 5th gear doing 5mph… but that’s a different matter.

Oh one more thing to add to the list, EZ pass “install” and a Roofrack setup to add functionality.

The reason I chose mine is because most of that stuff is done to it already so it would be as easy as just literally taking a picture of each item for each feature, however you do have a better chassis for it as it’s a wagon.

Not sure if you would hook up a trailer though.

they make a higher rated trailer hitch for the wagon and yes, I plan on doing it. I also already have navi / bluetooth / roof rack / and ezpass.

If you’d like we can do yours, I have no qualms about it.

We can even just throw my roof-rack onto yours for the photo op, or install the GPS (on window) in a similar fashion in a matter of minutes. Or just do a review of the baller in board one.

V1 hardwire isn’t too difficult as well.

It actually is 10x easier because I have the auto dimming mirror, you just tap into those wires… I was planning on either a valentine or the 9500ix radar, they make a billet mount that fits the rear view mirror nicely.

I’m not whining to have it done to my car, I was just bustin your chops about it. But if you’d like to, we can do it for my car…

I plan on buying the new thule crossbars for my subaru as soon as I can sell my honda roof rack
