I feel your pain on the straight though man… Used to join rental kart races in Japan and I was usually the heaviest guy there by 30-50 lbs because people are generally smaller.
Course was outdoor, a bit smaller and karts were probably 8-9 hp so I’d be trying to nail turns consistently, stay away from mistakes and pray for mistakes from the leaders to stay midpack. Haha
