Some fucking steak

Im not trying to make a gourmet pizza or anything. Just something cheap, quick and easy. It tastes fine to me, especially with a thin crust and black and orange cheese (slightly burned but not burnt).

paul do ya live in a trailer by any chance :nana :hug

no and actually I dont think there are any in my town either

Rotterdam/Schenectady has decent Italian delis/product
Capri’s on Broadway (Owners are friends of my family)
Mastroianni Bread (My 2nd or 3rd cousins)
Pede Frozen Pasta (I graduated HS with one of the daughters)
I forget that Italian Deli by 890. They make their own mozza.
Homemade sauce or go with at least Newman’s/Classico Vodka or something besides Ragu :frowning:

Fresh grated pecorino parm
Fresh dough
Sausage

By the time I buy any of that stuff it would just be cheaper to buy one already made.

Actually by the time I make 4 pizzas at home its not much cheaper than buying a 24 cut.

Cappiello’s is the one on Broadway by 890.

I am very criticial of my Italian food but there is plenty of good places in your area. Ferrari is a GIFT given waht you get for the price. You might get stabbed up there. Roma Villa is key. Canalis is good.

Mallozi’s is good but pricey.

Or my favorite. Villa Valentini.

shawn ya like the sausage eh

Mallozzi’s Wednesday buffet is the shit. All you can eat of awesome food for like $20. I dont know why Ive only been there once.

Cappiellos!

You can get their cheese in the store. Mastrioni’s dough can be had not frozen.

Sauce… We do homemade but you can go to Capris and get their sauce. Fresh sausage (I think Mastrioni’s makes their own but I forget).

Take a trip to Brooklyn and go to Grimaldi’s to see the difference. Some say it’s the best in the US. It’s worth it.

You are a bit socially awkward. :lol

:rofl

Price Chopper dough can be had not frozen too but its easier to work with when its colder. My dad makes it and brings it home fresh sometimes.

I really dont like homemade sauce. My mom makes spaghetti sauce and I hate it.

Brooklyn is a bit of a drive for a meal.

dont laugh at the feelings shawn its ok

its the experience that goes with it. NYC is awesome.

Okay, well I love buying a nice quality prime cut of steak, but the whole point was I wanted steak and to go out and bullshit with a few people…

I’d like to think I’m acctualy a very decent cook, my father was/is a cook besides being a po po and taught me a lot, none the less its a lot of trial and error… The thing to remember when cooking is, well when its not for urself, is to know what your cooking is supposed to taste like and how other people exspect it to taste, if you dont like how it tastes but the 30 people your serving do then obviously your going to want to serve it to the taste of the 30 people.

I hate fish, but I know how to cook it and know what it should taste like when cooked properly.

Next week I want to go out to delmonicos and get some steak, this is liek a week in advanced so is anyone down?

I wanted to go their friday but singh was all like dude please anywhere but delmonicos… and he prolly woulda ended up paying the same ammount as he did for his drink and 2 9 dollar plates of buffalo tenders maybe a tad more.

:+1 :nod

Ive been down to NYC a few times for a few different things and its just not my kind of place. The last time I was there was in '06 for a concert at MSG and my brother went with me and we walked all over before the concert including to Times Square.

Yeah man, i’ve been to a few places that were pretty exspensive, some had food to go with the price tag, others was sub par… but its more the experiance than anything else, a really nice place with a good atmosphere is what your paying for most of the time.

Theres some really exspensive restaurants in NYC and you can go in there and drop 200+ dollairs on 2 people and still leave their hungry because the portions are so small, the food is usualy awsome but they are small portions and your paying for the experiance of goign to this place that bent you over.

Like any place, you can find deals but to go to trendy places like Mario Batalis or Peter Lugers, you WILL pay out your ass.

Italian + small portions dont go together. i went to a restaurant in Seattle, Wa got awesome food medium-big portions, 2 people, it was a 160$ + tip for everything and honestly, id do it again.
