Yeah cops definitely cracked down a lot. They come into bars 15 at a time now to write under age drinking tickets. I got lucky and was the only one out of all my friends not to get one. They do actually shut down that street in between the bars like Pillars and the Parking garage. There are usually tons of fights and shit that go on over there.
Yeah I met John a couple times. Super nice guy. He used to walk his dog around the Hartwick Campus all the time. Under age kids now go to Today’s. It probably was still the same way back then too. My personal favorites were the Bullet, Red’s Filling Station and sometimes the Fox and the Rail.
I had the same experience as you did at Hartwick…made some great friends…had some good times, but I got screwed by the school a couple times over. It just wasn’t worth it any more. I am now going to Siena and finishing up for Half the price I was paying at Hartwick. By the time I got out of there tuition was like $39k with plans to easily exceed 40 by the time I am suppose to graduate. I started out as a Bio major then switched to Econ later on.
Today’s is THE Hartwick place. Football team mainly ran that place. I bounced there for awhile and really enjoyed it. I used to get hammered and fall asleep at the door. :lol
The Brass Rail was 2nd best only due to the Townies that come in there.
Glad you still are in school. Some don’t get passed the money. You benefit in other ways besides the piece of paper.
Oh, but on another note Pete…when i go on my roadtrip with Garufi to the southern states in July, i’ll be sure to stop at a Sonic and tell ya how it is :tong ;D
