space shuttle launch pictures

so i got this bright idea at midnight last night to drive out to titusville and watch the shuttle go up. launch time was 2:28 am. i can’t believe the number of people that go out to watch this. there were low clouds so you really couldn’t see shit after it got about 1 mile or so up. traffic was insane leaving then. we didn’t get home till almost 4:30. anyways, here are the few pics i snapped.

awesome pics!

Slick

Really sweet pictures!

Some serious energy being expelled from those rockets. How loud was it from your vantage point?

That must have been incredible to see in person.

wow that is awesome

honestly… ehh… maybe it was because of the clouds, and you couldn’t see once it got up in the air, but it was kind of a let down. it really wasn’t that loud either. we’re going to the gator nationals this sunday, now that is going to be loud.

very cool

cool experience though

x2 Not everyone gets to see that stuff firsthand, great pics

I love the 5th and 6th pictures, those are amazing. Nice shots.

I dont see a single person there drinking beer. you are slacking.

Love the 6th picture.

awesome.

Those pictures rock.

I’m sure the phrase “slip the surly bonds of earth” must take on a whole new meaning after seeing that.

I wonder how much fossil fuel was burned right there? Do you think it was equivalent to like 27 quadrillion cars? hahahah

thats cool

yeah, it was super cool until it took 2 hours to get home through the traffic

awesome
