SPEED Street Tuner Challenge

The Speed TV Street Tuner Challenge, ended recently. For those of you with cable, I’m sure you were following along as XS Engineering, ABD, and GM Performance built their respective cars with a 12 week deadline for competition. If you missed the festivities, here is a quick way to catch up:

i caught some of it on speed the other night…the cars kept breaking but still cool to watch

I kept on missing the shows just becuase I would forget that it was on. The Cobalt build was good, all race, no rice. And the Skyline turned out to be a dyno queen.

The fucking woman narator was very very very annoying. Didn’t like the over editing of the video either, but that is everywhere these days.

Would really like to see a straight cut for the Cobalt and Skyline build.

mike kojima…the guy driving the skyline is from sport compact car right? the guy who owns the badass Z. it was kinda funny watching him try to learn to drive a right hand drive car…i bet its damn hard

Not really, everything is the same, even the placement of the pedals and the shift pattern. Only difference is you are using your left. Not too difficult.

 at the ABD Jetta… WTF were they thinking with that thing? Automatic and the non-turbo version? All show and all slow. Couldn’t even complete a lap…

I’m still anxiously awaiting the November issue of whatever car rag has the “Super Fours challenge”. I want to see what the tuners did to the Elise, and how Flyin’ Miata’s car did.

GM had that cobalt on display at the Grand-Am race at Mid-Ohio a month ago i wondered what the numberplates were for. having never heard of this “challenge” it looked pretty sharp for a factory backed Race car.
