Started more work on the R6 **Updated 3/25** [56k Warning]

Finally got everything installed. Down to just the minor stuff (seats and a damn good cleaning)
Cleaning up all the wiring coming out of the headlight. Instead of doing the CBR dust caps, I decided to use the rubber grommet that came with the HID bulbs and drilled a 7/8" hole in my stock cap/cover so the grommet would fit tightly. Then ran all the wires through the rubber grommet for a 100% water seal (probably not perfectly water-tight, but will keep rain out):

Ballasts all tied up:

New bolts. Still have a ton left over that I have no idea where they go… lol. Anyone happen to have the instruction sheet that came from bikebolts.com for an 05???:

And a major FML. Apparently the tank shifted at some point, allowing a little gas to seep out and just sit on the paint… thus eating away about a small strip around the gas cap. This will be a quick fix for the season… it should look good from far, yet still far from good.

Video of the headlight, turn signals, reverse camera, and LEDs. Don’t mind the crappy quality, it was done on my old point & shoot that I use for working on the car/bikes. (def. not taking my good canon out there… lol)

Video of the alarm / remote start. Same goes for the quality:

Once I get it cleaned up and have another nice day I’ll be taking her out for a nice photoshoot.

LOL, nice stuff man! Got to show me your bike once its done!

DAMNNNN!!! That’s HOT.

Where’s the cutoff pics?

i will hopefully get some night shots with cut-off pics tonight.

Hey offroadzj, is the air horn you got a direct bolt on unit to the bike or do you have to do some DIY mod to the unit and/or the bike?

Thanks.

The air-horn was from advance auto. it was just a basic air-horn. I had to remove a small piece of the plastics from the underside to put it where I did. Then I just lined it up with the best bolt possible. Kind of a DIY without too much modification.

Looks great Kenny!

I have that same horn in my Subaru but the hood dampens it too much, so I was going to move it to the bike as well, but you beat me to it.

For a basic horn, thing is LOUD and puts the stocker to shame.

Thanks for the title change… lol. And incase there weren’t enough pics, here are a few more…
Night pics:

Thing looks evil at night. Pretty cool.

That was my goal… lol. Im really glad that I went with the simple LED strips in the headlight rather than the normal CCFL Halo. I like how you can see the glow, but not a single LED… which I think gives it that evil look. Plus the 2 projectors look like some damn evil eyes ready to eat the next small child that goes near it… lol

looks good and Evil

Wow. Very nice man.

Still waiting for cutoff pics lol. I’m a projector whore.

the cutoff is aimed high at the moment. I gotta get them adjusted and then I will get some pics.

Ugh, I’ve been trying to load this page on my 33.6k modem, I wish I had a 56k!

You shouldn’t be complaining when you are using a 6 MB gif signature…:rofl:rofl

Looks sick at night! What projector are they? And who did the retro?

they are G35 projectors and a guy on r6forum.com did the fit. I probably could have done it myself, but for what he charges, its worth it for a better look.

They sure did come out nice.

What is that thing on the license plate mount, a camera??

Bike looks good. I’m kinda on the fence about the red foot pegs though.

Your brake fluid looks like it may need to be changed too.

yes it is a camera… lol. The red foot pegs will be changed out… either for a darker red to match the bike or just to black (probably black).
