yeah, the Cobra-R is a pretty badass road course car… but I would probably take an Elise over a Cobra-R. $10K to play with… throw a roots blower on it and it would own pretty much everything.
you said where can you buy a track ready car
well you did mention the elise…and “performance specs” mean dick when racing around a road course…if i was buying a car to race professionally around a track as MY CAR i would NOT start with a mustang
last time i checked the GT-2 porsche (my choice for a track car) went for 120k not 650k
not the 911 GT2… try the Carrera GT
the Ford GT crushes the 911GT2
true.dat The GT is a badass car. However, any car company could build a car for far less than 140K that would beat the shit out of a Ford GT. Those cars are more about conspicuous consumption then they are about pure performance.
For Bluemeanie
Porsche Carrera GT $650,000
Porsche 911 GT2 $120,000
see the difference?
full GT series prepped 911gts are not cars to fuck with, i assume you go to races and watch this first hand? i haven’t even seen a ford gt on a track yet cuz all the owners that bought them park them under covers in garages.
and an enzo and carrera GT are like darkstar said, more of a status symbol than an actual race car.
kinda like a poor-mans version of a toyota gt1
nobody knows what the actual competition Ford GT is capable of yet. Want to know why? It won’t see the track until the 2005 race season.
All You can compare it to are actual production vehicles from other manufacturers
anyway this thread is about the 2007 Cobra and GT500
The front looks badass, but iirc the back looks nasty.
i would buy one of those
