so me not wanting to drive around with some random kid I don’t know makes me a pussy??? :crackup. If you could READ, then you’d realize that I’m not judging YOUR ability to do stupid shit. Hell, I’ve texted while driving before and I’ve done just fine. But the point is that I know it’s stupid and that I shouldn’t do it. You don’t. You think it’s fine, cause your awesome.
again, missing the point… take a normally bad driver ,which is scarey enough, and have them drive while texting. It WILL be worse, no doubt.
Yes…uhh…I dunno how to tell you this…but…I’m awesome. People know me. (Anchorman).
I’m not awesome. I can just handle doing other things and driving safely. What’s the problem with that? Are you jealous?
/sarcasm
But enacting a law taking away their ability to text, will not make them better. So either way…accidents will still be caused by bad drivers. THAT is what I’m saying. This law is ALL about $$$.
Back before there was a cell phone law, I got hit from behind by a saleman that was on his phone.
I’m sure there are people out there that can multi-task while driving, but most every day drivers I see out there can’t even handle their cars without added distractions.
Here’s an incident that happened down here during the ice storm.

MONTGOMERY — A 32-year-old man did not see the stop signals on Neelytown Road that warned a train was coming, because he was listening to his iPod through headphones while he drove, police said.
Gerardo Gregorio of Highland Mills died Thursday night after hitting a four-car Norfolk Southern train.
Town of Montgomery police said Gregorio disregarded the four red lights that signal a passing train. They believe he was distracted by his iPod.
The accident happened about 9 p.m., and Gregorio was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gregorio’s 1992 Honda Accord hit the train’s fuel tank directly. The state Department of Conservation said about 800 gallons of diesel fuel leaked into a nearby swamp, only 2,000 feet away from the Wallkill River. State Department of Environmental Conservation workers tried to limit contamination of the wetland — home to exotic birds and tall grasses — and were cleaning the spilled fuel late into the morning on Friday.
Fire departments from Maybrook, Montgomery and Coldenham responded to the scene. Town police are continuing their investigation.
He had a 92 Accord. Didn’t have a sound system. lol.
But seriously…they can’t pass a law because one guy died. I’m sure there are bad drivers out there…but not everyone is like that.
I guess I should ditch the radio and anything else that distracts me. Wouldn’t want to cause an accident… :lmao
The law, as with most that get passed regarding things like license plates, cell phones, texting, tint, etc. is ALL about money. Take tint for example. It’s illegal to be dark in NY because cops don’t know what you’re doing when they are walking about. However, in FL it’s okay…because it’s so sunny. Even though cops still dont’ know what you’re doing as they are walking about. It’s a bunch of BS. Greedy as goverments. If they did a better job of managing their budgets, they wouldn’t piss the citizens off so much with dumbass laws such as this one.
