When I pulled the mud boggers off my car, I found a glasses case, some batteries, a bottle of water, and some coins.
Wow that makes me want to get a Tetanus shot just looking at those wire snippers through the computer.

Anyways, im going to go through the interior of the car, some parts are rust discolouration… im going to rust proof the inside of the car on thursday. 400grit, and some khyrlon gloss white paint should do the trick.
Any tips for preventing rust?
Remove the rust that’s there, grind sand whatever you have to do.
Metal up or fibreglass the holes/competely missing sections.
There are a few specific rust prevention coatings/paints other then tremclad that actually chemically prevent oxidation all together sorry I cannot remember any of the brand names at the moment. They WORK but are expensive as hell.
You should be able to find them at body shops, or even at part-source/autovalue.

lol, that’s messed, i found 3 golf balls and a glove when doing the rust in the exact same spot.

Anyways, There was a little bit of rusting in the rear where the spare goes so I sanded some of it off and just painted it with anti rust tremclad. It looks horrible, and I painted over tape. I dont give a fuck though, I just wanted to slow the rust… Ill post pictures of it tmr.
Btw. there was probably a 2cm puddle in the wheel well for the spare and because its been raining for like 15 hours only and it leaks so bad. Probably cause it doesnt close properly. The whole car fucking leaks! LOL
EDIT: Fenders and all that shit are coming off on saturday. Gonna take a look at it. I might need to get new ones…

So… I learned that the car is basically held together by nothing. You see the metal bumper? Yea, theres nothing holding it on… there is 1/4 nuts on the lugs, and the rest is just sitting on it… pretty sad.
I totally stripped the front end and most of the car to prep for paint… The sunroof, hood, fenders, bumper and hatch are off the car.

The seat is torn, but i bought it. The one i got with the car was all mangled to fuck, im going to reapolster in the summer if I keep the car to daily drive(might buy another daily driver)

the bolts are broken in there… still. I have new hinges, but havent found a set of easyouts for cheap yet so I might just try to drill em out.
For my next magic trick… i will be painting the car myself! I want to save money, and possibly get a job in autobody in the summer… might as well start now. BTW, this is a drift pig… it wont be perfect.

Have you heard of that method for painting your car for $50? Well probably be better to use an air gun to put the paint on, but it’s prety sweet and cheap! it’s what I’m going to do to my car…
Im going to use compressor/gun. The primer i am using is spray bomb though…
well the $50 method uses tremclad paint, might not be 100% professional, but as we all should know, it’s not about the paint, it’s about the prep work! And it has a self leveling method…no primer needed, guy used a roller to put it on, but nothing from stopping someone from using a gun!

The car is half primed though. Im going to do bumper + hatch tmr.
Fuck, it took me so long to put the car back together cause I tore it all apart ahead of myself. I put the hatch and a bunch of shit back together took me so long.
From now on, one step at a time.
BTW, my roof has a bunch of bumps and dips. I think im gonna bondo like the whole thing and just make it really smooth it will only be a fine layer… hope it works.
Another thing, the rubber seal for the sunroof/headliner stretched like 5 cm, im soo pissed it doesnt go back in. Im also pissed that the car is missing so many bolts. I dont understand it at all…

This is the 2nd car ive owned… 1st one being 91 civic LOL, its no fun.
This is the first car ive ever really done work to, im learning on the way. My dad is a genious so if I ever get stuck I just ask him and he tells me what to do… HAHA.
First priority is, make this a drift pig, 2nd is to aquire all black interior, 3rd is to sr20 hehe.
About the fasteners and whatnot, remember I told you that I have that margarine container full of them? I imagine that’s where most of the bolts/nuts you are missing will be, and you can snag it when you come up here for the interior panels.
