JClark isn’t too far behind on that topic… :umm :lol
So Eric, you ready to make a big jump into ITE with that there Evo ;D
BTW…back from Dentsport with the new pogosticks inplace???

in the beginning of the video that EG civic had a massive wing on it
pneumatic jacking system? :smile
ITE = car with most power and aero = winner. At least it was rocking one of those ;D
Seriously though, aero is a big player in ITE. Look at any of the cars in that video.
New pogosticks = way more better Ohlins suspension setup + corner balance than the current Ohlins suspension he had inplace already :lol Went to DS for the labor…
Erics baller didn’t ya know ;D
i want onboard pneumatic jacks.
That’s not an E36, looks like a hatch (Golf?).
Chassis = Evo or old 2.5RS or something.
This isnt supposed to be cool because we took an old POS economy car and made it nuts, it’s supposed to be just stupid fast.
Just watched the video again. :bdance Let’s do this thing.
If I had the money I would so do that to my gc8.
I’ll donate the chassis
I need WAY more wing if I’m going into ITE. Maybe like a tri-level setup, like the Red Baron. Tri-wing, and canar- err, dive planes. Tri-wing, dive planes, and so much money that I can’t spend it fast enough so I need to pour it down racing’s insatiable giant maw just to get rid of it. Like Clark has.
Now I see that’s a hatchback. I was so taken with the wing height I didn’t get much of a look at what was carrying it. No wonder it’s so high then.
Going to Dent Sport on 11/11 for the Ohlins install, corner balancing, and alignment.
That’s my kind of poetry.
I just chose to spend all the money at once and go racing now instead of dragging it out over several years.
New Ohlins?! Coil? Stats, please do tell.
Me too. Last WGI HPDE I was at, there were 2 E36 club racers there who parked together and had them - way cool. Only problem is it took a giant air tank to activate them, which was no problem for these guys to haul with their enormous enclosed car trailers, but that’s way more than I want to deal with. I’m hoping Adam can fab something to activate them off my BOV or something. :nod
I found a fantastic closeout deal on WORKS Ohlins DFV Stage 3’s w/ Swift springs. I think the rates on them are 8Kg/mm front, 11Kg/mm rear. My Evo buddy from Boston says I need them way stiffer for autox (in the 16 kg/mm range), but I figure I’ll try them for a season and if needed, I’ll have them rebuilt.
Travis clearly wasn’t taking notes here.
Superb. Now we just have to get you off this autox kick. ;D
:nod 962 done = Adam picks up new project…
I’ve built some setups using a compressor and small tank in the rear, they just work slower upon lifting. Whole fun point of air jacks is to be able to do a pogo jump off the ground with 2000psi of nitrogen Oh and then spin the wheels and drop the shit to the ground coming out of the pits.
Okay, granted there’s already a couple people who have mentioned that they’ll donate their GC8’s, I might as well throw mine in too. I would absolutely love to (attempt to) drive a car like that, but, well, my (non-existent) budget is pretty minimalist.
There would be nothing more fun that a well-prepared GC8 that handled well enough to make use of 800+ whp.
Lyndon, we both need to make our gc8’s 800 hp.
Nothing would be more fun then a pair of gc8’s like that on the track.
