Myself I might get it used, but so far it looks more Doom 3 than anything else, and that got old fast.
I had system shock and Dead Space is a great game. Just don’t get the PC version as the controls are really designed for controllers.
This game is probably scarier than FEAR with the dead girl, :lol

Yea, I’m a diehard SS and SS2 fan and was pissed when the company dropped number 3. I’ve contemplated buying a shit old 486x pc so i can play my old pc games like system shock…BTW just noticed SHODAN in your sig pic :lol
and I loved Doom 3 and the expansion packs. Means I’ll probably like this Dead Space if you sy it’s similar in fashion 
FEAR is still one of my favorite games of all time, Definitely scary and great AI. This game definitely looks freakier and with the “dismemberment protocol” to kill the enemies it should be nearly as tough.

Haha, Shodan ftw! I played the Fear demo but never got the whole game, and Doom 3 was nice and all but the whole thing with
too much darkness and monster closets just got tiring after a while.
Thief 3 was decent though.

Oh and get FEAR, it’s a great game all the way through. If you have a PC that can play it there’s also an expansion pack that was never released for PS3/XB. I have the PS3 version which is identical to the PC game. I find these types of games easier to play on consoles vs keyboards but was annoyed they never released the expansion for the consoles…only the pc’s got it
