Well, keep dreaming: there was no Z06 in '05. The C6 came out for '05, but the Z06 didn’t launch 'til '06 model year.
A '08 S-Class AMG would be the S63AMG, not a S65. Merc dropped the SC’ed V8 55AMG cars and TT V12 65AMG cars in favor of only the NA V8 63AMG cars. Still a pretty bad ass car, but I’d take an older model with the TT V12 you had in mind.
Anyway, I just can’t list 3, I want too many. So…
To Collect:- 1969 ZL1 Vette- 1970 Hemi Cuda- 1969 Yenko Camaro
Obviously there’s plenty of other ub3r-rare classic muscle cars, but those 3 top my list.
To “Daily” Drive:- 2009 CTS-V = DD- L92 Escalade TT etc = Tow + “Family” Car- 2009 Corvette ZR1 = Fun Weekend Street Car, Freeway Roll-King Racer
To Race:- Full SCCA T1 Prepped '08 C6 (or whatever the current “vette to have” for T1 is at the time, until this year it was still the C5Z06) for my Road Course Car. Campaign it in SCCA T1 (obviously).- Vic Sias’s M3: http://www.siastuning.com/yellow4sale.htm or Andy McKee’s RX7: http://www.rx7club.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=133326&d=1127714612 for AutoX. I race with Vic and Andy all the time and both live just a few miles from me. Their cars are proven National Champion cars and seem like the most fun way to AutoX to me. Both would fit a LSX, but I’d never do that since that’d throw them out of any “real” class.- Not really sure what #3 is yet… I’d like to get into some form of off-road racing.
To HOT ROD and Cruise:- As somebody else picked: 60’s Lincoln Conti (I think I’d pick 1963). 'vert of course, suicide, black, very stock looking on the outside. Bagged, twin turbo it, Gear Vendors Under/Over-Drive on the C6, massive brake upgrade, maybe custom one-off wheels to replicate stock wheels/hub caps in a bigger diameter/width.- 70.5-73 Camaro might as well start with a base car since I’ll be cutting it all up. Build similar to my friend Shaun’s: full cage, custom front clip, 3 link rear, 9", LSX, Turd-blow, T56 (probably Liberty Shifted), just pure insane “Pro Touring” type of build. Great handling/stopping (probably use the StopTech big brake kit for a C6Z along w/ C6Z ABS components/computer) with 1,000+ RWHP.- 1969-1972 Suburban 3-Door. Full custom frame to support insane TT Duramax/Alison combo, multi-link coil over susp front and rear probably just D60 front 14-Bolt rear as I don’t think I’d want it ub3r retarded big enough to go w/ Rockwells. Keep it a reasonable height that it could also be a tow rig, with fully customized modern interior using dual-zone HVAC, touch screen NAV etc out of later model vehicles. Big system too of course.
Exotics:- F430 Scuderia. I’ve driven a “regular” F430 w/ the F1 trans (http://www.pittspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35979&highlight=F430) and even though my Z06 is faster in every aspect, and I later smoked the same F430 with a very seasoned driver at Infineon (http://www.pittspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39364&highlight=F430) these cars are just pure sex. And the Scuderia brings it to a whole new level.- FXX (Ferrari Enzo - Wikipedia). Not only is the car amazing, you get the full Ferrari team driver treatment. They do all the work/setup on the car, transport it to various amazing race tracks all over the world, and coach you. What a dream.- Maserati GranTurismo, because they can’t all be F-cars.
