I am going to try to pull my Tial 38mm apart this weekend to check the internals to try and find my over-boosting issue. At the same time I want to put a 1 bar spring in it since I’ll have it apart anyways. Anyone know where I can find one locally? I have found them online but I doubt they will be here by this weekend (none available on amazon prime… lol).
Thanks
I don’t know, but I know that I do hope to see at least a 1/2 dozen topics about your boost control issues by the morning!
yea, I probably should have kept it all in one but I originally started putting this in the wanted section then changed my mind… but for some reason still decided to start a new thread. But thats ok, this one is dedicated to a specific task at hand rather than a diagnostic task that the other one consists of (sounds good in my head). And hell, there’s plenty of other useless topics around… whats one more??? lol But I promise this will be that last one.
Nah, fuck it man, KEEP MAKING TOPICS. Hell, I might make one for you soon!
haha. Can you tell I’m bored but don’t want to go to bed yet (even though 4am comes early)… lol. A lot of it is just discouragement because I really thought my overboost issue was due to the factory TMIC and BPV… and it makes me think that even though the FMIC flows a lot better, that it was useless and a waste of blood, sweat, and swearing since my main underlining issue is not yet solved.
I can’t offer anything more than general advice as I know nothing about the platform, although it sounds like removing/inspecting the WG is in order. Remove, disassemble, repair if needed, and op’s check with shop air.
That pretty much does sound like what I’ll be doing this weekend… lol. But I would like to replace the spring while its apart… which is why I am hoping to find one locally. I really don’t want to be pulling it apart twice if I don’t have to.
PM’ed
make sure its a Real TiAL, alot of good looking copies out there.
best place for springs is to order them from ATP
