I listened to the new AIC (Black gives way to blue), and frankly it sucks. How they were ever considered metal, I’ll never know. Cantrell is an extremely boring guitarist, with a annoying vocal delivery at that. Private Hell is the only song on the new album worth listening to.

also… how can you not consider “man in the box” or “we die young” metal? facelift is pretty damn hard for the most part

Private Hell is the only song on the album that has ANY atmosphere, the rest are trite three-chord snoozefests. As for the above quote…Well, distorted guitars and a wah pedal doesn’t make something metal. It’s nothing more than simplified hard rock. Our ideas of “hard” are very different, though so to each his own.
