The process to make this as far as i know it is:
Pre Preg Graphite wrapped around an aluminum bar which is heated during the autoclave process. The aluminum bar ‘swells’ as the CF/epoxy cures, then the whole setup is placed in sub zero temparatures to shrink the aluminum bar and slide the freshly cured CF off.
This process makes it fairly expensive at about $150/ft.
