I just upgraded my 20g HD to a generic 120g HD I got off of eBay, where would I get the transfer cable and software to transfer my live profile and saved games to my new HD???

You can buy a Xbox Transfer kit or just take apart the hard drive and hookup the sata cable to your computer.

gamestop dosent list them online neither does bestbuy or anywhere else I can think of

EDIT: wow… I was way too slow on that one. No idea about buying local. I can’t remember the last time I bought something electronic locally. I think I still had a mullet though, and it was considered cool.
If you have a memory card, or know someone with a memory card you could probably use it to move all the stuff from one drive to the other. Might have to do it multiple times to get all the save games over though because the card will run out of space. Skip moving game addons and just redownload them on the new drive.
At one point Microsoft would mail them to you for free, don’t know if they still will.

I have one of the transfer kits. I could meet up with you sometime tomorrow depending on where you’re at. I live in wheatfield. Would just flat out sell it to you for around $20 depending on how far I have to drive lol. I’ll charge less for the less I have to drive.

Ok just checking. I had visions of someone taking a random cable off Ebay and trying to jam it into the xbox hard drive just because the auction said “hard drive cable”
