What’s up everyone!
Up for grabs is a freshly rebuilt Nitro Rustler. I purchased it back in 2007 and finally gave it a complete overhaul in May of 2015. Virtually every part on this Rustler was replaced, with the exception of the gas tank, exhaust manifold and the Traxxas tuned exhaust pipe. Here’s a list of everything that’s been replaced/installed:
- new Traxxas 2.5R racing engine (shorter crank and no pull start)
- new fuel lines
- all new Traxxas/RPM plastics throughout in black
- new throttle/brake linkage
- new brake components
- new clutch bell 22T, shoes & flywheel
- new 72T spur gear with fresh friction pegs and pressure plates
- new ProTek bearings throughout
- Traxxas lower aluminum chassis plate
- Traxxas digital, high-torque waterproof servos
- Traxxas fully adjustable, ball bearing differential
- Traxxas metal idler gear (no more stripped plastic ones!)
- MIP C-CVD (steel half-shafts)
- Traxxas 5-cell power pack
- E-Rustler waterproof Rx box
- freshly rebuilt Traxxas big bore metal shocks
- Integy aluminum Front + Rear shock towers
- Integy aluminum rear bulk head
- Integy aluminum front + rear hub carriers
- Integy aluminum steering linkage
- Integy aluminum rear suspension arm mounts
- FlySky 3-channel Rx (no more AM radio!)
- 4x new wheels and tires (forgot the wheel brand), tires are ProLine Dirt Works All-Terrain
I’m sure I’m forgetting about other bits that were replaced…
The whole thing was reassembled using the popular Tony’s Screws Kit w/ blue thread lock on all the metal components. The EZ Start system was deleted in favor of weight savings & performance (~137 grams scrubbed off).
What’s also included in the final sale:
-BNIB JConcepts ‘Illuzion’ lexan body ($25 value)
-BNIB OFNA Truggy Starter Box ($100 value)
-Glow starter w/ 2 rechargeable batteries ($20 value)
- 2 fuel bottles
-EcoPower “Electron” 4S Li-Poly 20C Battery Pack (14.8V/2000mAh; for the starter box - $30 value)
-a BUNCH of spare parts
If you want to use the installed FlySky Rx, then you’ll need a FlySky Tx in order to bind the two OR you can install your own radio system, the choice is yours. I’m personally using the Flysky FS-GT3C Tx on all of my RC cars since the Rx is only $7
I never got around to break-in the fresh motor since the major overhaul, so the car is literally in like-new condition! I’ve been spending my time on other toys so this is just sitting collecting dust. I’m hoping it will go to a good home where it will be thoroughly enjoyed!
You won’t find a cleaner, fully built Rustler like this one at this price! My loss is your gain!
Thanks for looking!
