TTAC article about one of NYspeed's finest - 91MR2

You should have heard it on decel with the original cam sprockets. Sounded like a drive-by shooting.

Another chapter in the cars life.

X…

After getting to know joe alot better the last 6 mos, cant really say i know a more genuine great person then him. And joe will always have that car no matter what .
D

“This is one of those cars that gets a bad rep,” said Joe, “I don’t think that reputation is deserved though. A lot of guys take them out, flog them before they get fully warmed up, don’t rev match when they downshift and they generally beat on them. It’s a hand-built car, after all, I mean back in 1995 they only built 46 of them. TThese things need a little more TLC than your average sports car, but they are damn good cars”

I think that just about sums it up. I love my car but I’ve spent countless dollars and hours fixing the things the PO never cared about. Still got a long way to go, but I don’t think I’ll ever sell this thing.

The article is a great read. I know we keep saying this, but we really need to get together for a ride soon. I’m putting the supercharger on the week of the 21st.

I’m not sure who this article is really about. The Joe I know professionally is referred to as the devil. The things he has to do for money are
pretty terrible.

Congrats on the write up. You deserve a free detail as you have a white car now right?
Red cars are the worst.

Thanks again guys…

Drew, we will def. go for a ride. I esp. want to now since you are adding a SC’er…they really wake those cars up in a big way…

Hrab…that’s right…I am the devil…

Nice to know what everyone thinks about you, isn’t it?

Dont worry…we all lie on the internet… :stuck_out_tongue:

I read on the internet somewhere that nobody lies on the internet. There’s a rule or something.

I am a French Model…bonjour!

Bonjour! That’s the only right answer , isn’t it?

Joe has always been one of the good guys and respectful people on here since he joined. Cool to read a bit about the history of him and his cars. I’m sure it reminds a lot of us about our journeys with our cars and what they’ve meant to us.

That car is sweet for sure

good article

This is one of my favorite cars. Not because I like the Esprit but because I appreciate Joe’s passion and devotion to it, which started a long time before he even bought the car. to a good guy and one of the most loved cars you’ll ever read about.

Thanks all, for the very kind words. This article has garnered a lot of attention, esp. in re. to the Renault and my family. I’m glad it touched a lot of people. Thanks again, guys.

Joe is the biggest Dbag of all time.

I hate it when I’m forced to hang out with him and eat Korean food.

nice article, sounded like Thomas normally drives the cars he writes about but made an exception for you Joe.
