TTAC article about one of NYspeed's finest - 91MR2

I thought I would post up a thread about my most recent article on The Truth About Cars. A big thanks to Joe - 91MR2 - for taking me out last weekend in his Lotus Esprit and for sharing his stories with me.

I hope I was able to do our conversation real justice. Joe is an intersting guy and it is tough to capture the depth of someone’s personality - and I found Joe to be an especially thoughtful person - in just 1000 words.

Cool stuff

By the way, since I stole the photos Joe posted here I gave NYspeed photo credit. We might get some visits over here, too. Since you guys have decided to allow me to play in this sandbox too, it’s the least I could do.

Nice work

Nice read, I think you guys did a good job with it.

Cool site too btw, havent heard of it till now.

Joe was a great guy when I met him. This is a great read

Excellent read!

cool story

Thomas, thanks again. That’s a really nice article. I appreciate the kind words very much.

Great read. Joe, I didn’t realize you bought Evan’s old Esprit. Cool.

Well written. It’s funny. I can picture Joe speaking in the tone that it is written. It is amazing how accurate it is.

Great article, great write, great car, great owner.

Joe is one of the first people I met at a meet back in the ubrf days and he has been consistently a class act and a good representation of what being a “car guy” should be.

Joe rocks. Not what I would define as the typical older Lotus owner, for sure.

Hell, you could have used this perfectly framed and lighted (no, not really) of it without its winged ass in my shop

Joe is a great guy.
I always run into him at tea leaf.

Wow. That was cool and well written.

Joe is one of my personal heros. Seriously.

good read. I’d love to see the car in person.

Double post

You guys are very kind, thank you.

 Great read!

Joe is one of the nicest guys I’ve met and worked with on this site. Everything in that article is true, right down to the contortionist method of entering and exiting that sucker. Makes me appreciate my own ride that much more. Indeed a blast to ride in and I sincerely hope to see more of it this season. Well done to the both of you.
