I’ve said 692728281 times id race at the track. Winning or losing it really doesn’t matter to me. But for the 79183629817th time, I need someone who knows bob to get him to def let me run. It’s a pain in the ass for me to go out there, not to mention the tank of gas my truck goes through. I’m not doing that if I’m not going to be able to run.
And no I’m not cruising my car there. I broke and was stranded at the track before. It was not fun.
Alright, so then if no one can guarantee you’ll be able to run I’ll pay for your gas. That way all you’re giving up is time :tup:

begging for favors? there are several guys on here that are close to Bob that can probably get the job done. Bob doesn’t know me, and frankly if i were him, i wouldn’t let some person i don’t know race a car without all the safety equipment, risking my ass either. BUT HEY, THAT WOULD BE USING MY HEAD, HEAVEN FORBID! so that is why i’m “begging” for people that are close to him to give me a pass. secondly, i couldn’t give a shit whether this race gets off or not. yes, i’d like to go back and try to shoot for and 8, that’s no secret. beyond that, cars are pretty much on the bottom of my list right now. i’m currently worrying about my desk full of work and customers i’m working for; taking up 85% of my waking hours. so forYOU and anybody else wants me to race so bad, put in a little effort

i agree with choda that while appreciating the gesture, i’m not really looking for money from onyx. and time wasted is kind of a issue for me as i’ve never been busier. want to know what i did this weekend? (not directed at onyx…general statement) go cruising? go racing? go drinking? NO! i stayed in friday, saturday, and sunday working on a set of specifications for a customer. my car hasn’t moved in 2.5 weeks. that has been the story of my life this last year. (let me guess, next i’m going to hear “oh turbols1 thinks he is the only person who has to work”… NO, not at all. but this is what i have going on in life)
but hey, do you know what? now that it’s turning into October, when i’ve been racing ALL SUMMER LONG, and i was told NOT TO COME BACK TO THE TRACK, all of a sudden CHODA, and TIMMY HAVE TO RACE ME…and if i don’t, i’m “just a bitch” etc etc etc. convenient. so let me drop everything, blow off my customers, rope off the streets, do whatever i gotta do to make you all happy.
i already said i’d race if my schedule was clear. if you want this to happen, put in a little effort with your buddy bob.

I wished i had trailered mine this last sunday,blew the trans and only had 2nd gear,its one hell of a long ride @35-40 at 3,000 rpm.
thats why i just wanted to do a friendly run locally instead of going to the track. =] but william needs everything in his favor to beat a 9.7 car. lol even if he needs to shut down early or something isnt working perfectly hes chances of beating me is great
I have a lot of shit on my ‘life plate’ too. but im still in it to win it. Car wasnt built to sit in a garage. I put serious miles on my car every season.
again my offer to get you to come beat me only goes to us driving to the track together and when u blow up ill trailer u home w my trailer. If you cant drive your street car to empire then how PROVEN is it? I drove mine to Angola twice this summer when it was 85*out.
