5 other cars, they should be at honda day this weekend. Looks like the car was around 500hp on that run.
I think at the power levels and the rpms these run, it should not be a surprise if anything in the drivetrain breaks.
So you expect a new twin plate clutch to blow up after a burnout? I would be looking to return that back or installation problems.
No I don’t expect that, but like I said it does not surprise me. Competition clutch has not exactly had a bulletproof track record for example the throwout bearing only worked correctly on erics for a week or two before I had to replace it.
Maybe that’s why their twin disc is so inexpensive in comparison to Tilton…
What isn’t inexpensive compared to tilton?
tilton is just another level 4k…these 1200 clutch hold up to many 170+mph cars 900+hp
Lol, good point sir. Even Clutchmasters multi-plate clutches seem to be twice as expensive as Competition. Not sure why there’s can be so much less expensive. I called Comp to see if they had one for the S4 (because I’m cheap)…no go.
after speaking to a competition clutch dealer he said that in the beginning their clutches had some problems but after a few trials they corrected the problem
when i ran my car wasnt even on full tilt…as it was surging at 15psi so if the clutch failed at 15psi i dont want to try it at 35psi
when you get the clutch fixed you will have no problems running 10’s at like 25psi.
for the time being im not really worried about hitting the record i just want to work all the bugs out of it
