Totally irrelevant question, it’s not a car show it’s just a noise fest for the most part. If I had children and they were interested in cars then I’d take them to a real car show not a cruise night where they’ll get hearing damage and witness several Jerry Springer like situations LOL. And if they wanted to see racing then I’d take them to a race where you wouldn’t see Grand Ams and 4x4 PUs etc.
i went, got 2 runs in, one vs a gt mustage that i pulled trains on and the other a friendly race againts dirty e 30. he wanted to run his car against someone that wouldnt take his car out lol so i figured why not. track sucked balls and some asshole in a jeep did a burnout that almost shot rocks into my car. that wouldve ended bad.

the guy staging people was pushing them up way too close, i’m suprised a lot of those people were up that close in their cars right behind the burnouts
so how come no one mentioned about the guy on the bike. for those of you who didnt catch it, some guy made it to the finish on his bike, made a very late and slow last shift, gave it a little gas and let off, as soon as he let off, the bike started swerving on him ridiculously! I really really thought he was going to loose it, but lucky for him, he saved it.
as for the crap that comes, the racing that goes on. the reason its never a good meet is because of all the people in here that bash it and dont go. instead of saying its horrible and not going, how about show up with your cars and make it better. then it might actually be something. but instead everyone has there mind set to it sucks and im not going to show up.
also i was pissed, showed up for about 30 minutes, noticed it was pouring about a mile out. saw some lightning, and figured since i was parked in the grass outside the track, i might as well start walking back before it starts pouring on me and my gf. got back to the car, noticed it was starting to clear a little. took my 5 minute drive back to her house, where everything was soaked and puddles from it pouring.
so I figured Id post this picture for the guy that moved here from florida. he showed up to the spring meet and has been going to cruise nights now on a regular.

Hearing protection is EASY to fix, but if you can’t walk around without it, then EVERYONES hearing is at risk.
Honestly man that’s not the reason. Most of us have been going to this show for years.
I remember I started going back when they held the show at Runwayz.
We’ve gone as an NYSpeed group several times in the past to the smaller S&R nights, and we even had a ‘reserved’ section for a while at the Midnight Madness nights they held at Lancaster a few years ago.
But bigger isn’t always better and as these shows have grown, they’ve attracted a crowd that doesn’t appeal to most of the enthusiasts here.
to me, its the people that give up on it and not go for whatever reason that made it what it is today, most of the people are decent car loving people, with the few d-bags here and there, if more normal people went, it would keep more of the idiots away imo…they wont want to get laughed at every week

Yea I noticed that too, when the car was up I kept hearing them hype it up and figured id check it out, I was hoping for a good run :meh:, Was that your silver camaro parked in the pro pit? looked real nice I think I was parked next to you or near you. :tup: And to the kid who almost lost it on the bike in the end I thought he was a screwed but nice recovery lol.
i missed the bike almost wreck, was distracted by the white S2K, taking pics of that…bleh
had i been turned around we were right at the finish line, my 2 friends were flipping out over that one
yea, with an fp green on 16 psi and stock clutch. on test and tune nights i run 8.3 to 8.5 all day. like i said track was terrible.
edit: btw that wheelie picture is sick, and psphinx at least i use my car for what i had it made for. havent seen you racing lately.
I figured with the humidity and the way the track is in general, it would have been a bitch to race on.
