Bought from Lowes and used for 2 summers. Only reason why im selling it is because it wont go with my new backyard plans. It provides good shade and since the cover hangs on both sides you can adjust the cover for more or less depending on the time of day. The feet have holes if you want to bolt it down to something. The entire pergola bolts together and has black covers that go over the heads of the bolts. Out of all of the bolts there is one that came out. It can be fixed but not needed to still do its job.
Id say for the most part protect it. Because its a canvas, id say its more like a “tarp” then a screen. Im sure in a down pour rain is going through but in a sprinkle or a med rain youd be fine. I never stayed outside to notice though.
Damn, I love that design. I had to walk away from the house I was buying this year due to mold, but if you still have it next year when I find another house… I’m posting here now, so I can find this again
