VERY good Ford commercial

is this 1940?

My brother is in the air force and has been over there 4 times, and every time he wishes he didn’t have to go and leave his family for 6 months.

x2, it’s a very different war.

yes it is, although, you and I may see differently on this. I am behind this current war, 100%.

But I can sympathize with soliders overseas… no one wants to leave their families.

Wanting to serve as you signed up to do and wanting to go to war and leave home behind are two totally different things. Every generation men and women have left to serve, regardless of the war, ww2 to the present war on terrorism. It’s nice to see that Ford made a nice commercial to tribute them, of course they’re going to have Ford cars in it.

haha I am the first generation that didn’t go to war in my family. that includes the civil war.

WW2 didn’t get sign ups because of the depression because they could have stayed here and worked in factories because of the war time production. they joined primarily because of pearl harbor and the fact many of them were native to western Europe where Germany was invading. also many still had family there.

so, youre saying we didnt have any sign ups, due to 9/11?

and WW2, definitely had sign ups, due to the Depression… Although, factory work was an option, so was the Military.
