I can’t sign into the ditb site, so I came hereeeee.

Does anyone have any of that special “anti-phosphate, anti-amineanti-freeze” lying around? I’m a bit low (too low to just put water in), but too cheap to buy a gallon at Autohaus for $25. (Actually, I don’t HAVE $25.) OOOORRR… is there anywhere I can go to buy it where it would be cheaper?

I’m not sure what kind I need, I think it’s the stuff in the older models, the blue stuff. I have an '89 Audi 80Q. “Blue Color - Audi/VW GOO11OO Equivalent - Generally used in up to 1996 Audi’s.” - Blauparts.com

Can anyone help me out?

Yeah, I just had the same problem and talked to my mechanic…he said that I could get away with any of the “ANY” antifreezes, so I bought the expensive prestone and it has been fine so far.

Blue stuff is called G11.
