mkIII’s do suck. they are the awkward middle sibling of the ballin’ mkII’s and the newer mkIV’s.

you’re not going be like “oh, i want a VW, not sure if i want a MkI, a MkIV or a MkVI”, it’s going to be narrowed to one or two generations. compared to the MkII’s and MkIV’s the MkIII has none of the advantages of either (interior still isn’t that nice, they’re ugly for the most part, still have the 12v VR6 with no option for 1.8T or 24v VR6 like in the mkIV’s, etc etc etc.). name one thing that the mkIII has that the mkII or IV doesnt.

i totalled a mk3 with a BBM Stage 2 blower on it because i hated it that much…
ive had mk1,mk2, mk3,mk4s, B3s(passat) and B5s(audi)… and i can say any VW that has a alpha-numeric chassis code with 3 following the letter, sucks.
they are only good for parts for mk1/mk2s.
yea only mk3 i’d think about drivin is a poreclain blue tdi.
