I recieved the new bearings a week or two ago, so these should be good to go.
Just got off the phone with GC. New top hats are $20 each. They have a few different sizes depending on what size coilover springs you get (2.5", 60mm, 2.25").
They also said if you get coilovers from them they would toss in the new top hats free.
So as is, my setup will not work with coilover springs, only with stock or stock-like lowering springs. Coilovers will require new top spring hats. There are no other differences.
