mine were only like 30 bucks from ronnies, full leather, gel pad and knuckle guards

I had Icon TiMax’s and LOVED them. The knuckle protector was nice for punching things on the go, like Crazyz250, for instance.

I wear through gloves about once a year or a year and a half.

Full gauntlet style is best if you actually care for protection, otherwise get shorties.

Joe Rocket gloves disintegrated within the first year, padding falling out, straps snapping, finger connections wearing through, inserts coming lose etc, and the gloves were ~80$, wouldn’t recommend.

A* I have now were about ~110$ and are quite comfortable and lasted pretty good, but also needs fixing after one year of riding with padding inserts coming out and just general wear and tear.
