Does the SMG protect from over-rev?

(For example, if you’re braking hard for a turn, can you just blindly downshift until it finds the lowest appropriate gear?)

Also, can you shift @ full throttle?

SMG doesnt protect from over rev by switching to the next gear, you can bounce off the limiter, it will however not let you go to 2nd gear @ 80mph

yes you can shift @ full throttle, doing so @ redline the car shifts in 8 miliseconds
