I had not heard of Architects until this thread…fuck, they’re pretty good…remind me of Our Last Night with their guitar playing style…

Our Last Night = not bad. Periphery = Fuck. You just gave me something else to listen to…they kind of remind me of I, Omega or Protest The Hero.

Teaser for the new album by Dance Gavin Dance…pretty excited for it to come out…sounds like they switched lead singers AGAIN lol, but also sounds like they went back to their earlier sound and writing style and I dig the fuck out of it.
^Reminds me of Protest the Hero a bit. I kinda like it even though I’m not really into the hardcore-ish screaming type music. This would be great for the gym.

Started listening to some Angel Vivaldi as of late as well. Man, I’ve got a lot of music to catch up on…
Tosin Abasi is just stupid good. 8-String guitars are mainly used in Djent (Animals as Leaders, Periphery, Meshuggah, Born of Osiris, etc.) I would love to get one so I don’t have to tune my 7-string so low. lol
Ok. I didn’t know 8 strings were used in Djent. I like learning. TesseracT is another one that uses Djent, but they don’t base their whole sound off of it like say, Meshuggah does.
I have a tough time putting Meshuggah in the Djent class since they’ve had they same sound for years prior to “Djent”. They moved to 8-strings after contemplating doing an album with just bass guitars.
Piratemosh, if you thought song of solomon was good, look up “CAFO” lolol. fucking intense and the groove really hooks.
