@ProgRocker sure did. Haven’t given it a listen yet but will know. I have heard a few tracks so far on XM @Carnut I like them now more than I used to for some reason. I enjoyed it. Listed to blood mountain yesterday as well.
Blood Mountain is a good album. Josh Homme plays on this track
Crystal Skull’s intro is awesome
Leviathan is still their best album. Start to finish is amazing. They opened the last show we saw with “Hearts Alive” which i thought was awesome since it ends Leviathan and is 10 minutes long.
So, May 20th, Rapids Theatre?
.
Saw this preview while watching American Sniper in the Theater.
I went to see it. I thought the movie was awesome. Check it out
I think I like this so much because it samples aphex twin
^Yep, posted that a few back…so good. The whole video is pretty much a tribute to Aphex Twin.
Richard’s new albums are so fucking good.
I listened to Colors right before this…
Colors > The Great Misdirect
because r.i.p. A.J. Pero (drummer) ? and glam metal is fun to listen to.
@ProgRocker Thanks for that CHON vid…excellent stuff! to me it sounds like Dance Gavin Dance crossed with Fall of Troy.
also, Veil of Maya is about to release a new album…I had heard rumors that Spencer Silitello from Periphery was going to be their new vocalist…but seems like that didn’t go through…
I am not at all mad they’ve introduced clean vocals in their new stuff.
I just discovered that Misha Mansoor of Periphery and Tosin Abasi of Animals As Leaders collaborated on a couple songs for Guitar World…
Thank.
I’ve stumbled across this a few times, but never listened to it before because I thought it was too weird even for me. It will sound terrible on a casual first listen. Then I read some reviews, then I read the (very dark) lyrics, and it’s starting to grow on me, more because of who / what it eventually inspired (spoiler below). I like music that can be heavy without the use of distorted guitars.
Spoiler: The lyrics, the imagery of the forest and woods, the evil, the acoustics especially on the first few albums, the line “my arms your hearse” … (&)peth
I love his new sound/direction with this album compared to his other. I have always been a big Yelawolf fan
