I am going to be heading to the track at the end of the month and I need some slicks I am thinking about running 22" slicks.I am just wondering what size to use I am running an s15 motor with an s13 tranny any ideas?
I just dont want to run to small of slicks and be shifting into 5th crossing the line.I used to run 20" slicks with my old civic and it was perect 6500rpm crossing the line.

do you really think it is necessary? If you are running slicks, they will pretty much stick regardless of size. I don’t think you are running enough hp to be able to break loose some skinnier slicks. But thats just my thoughts.
He means hieght, I personally would go with a slightly bigger than a smaller setup. It will allow for longer gears.

I just have to shift into 4th at the last 20feet.
I suppose a 24x8x15 or 25x8x15 is probably better choices, as long as you remember you’ll need a high launch to not bog off the line with taller slicks, probably 5500rpm.
are you running street tires if so can you measure the hieght of them because I would like to winding out 4th if possible thats why I am thinking 22".

I would go either 25 or 26", 26" if it’ll fit good.
