When to put on the rims

since all this nice weather has some along and looks like it will be here for a week or two i was wondering when the rims are comming out. granted if you put them on you probably will have to take them off again. any thoughts??
mine are going on tomorrow afternoon.

They are going on when the car comes out which is when ALL streets are clear including neighborhoods.

Have fun driving to your buddies place or whatever through the side streets. You might end up like DrifterX. lol. Don’t get too anxious, it’s still Feb.

I guess when I put full coverage on my car again which probably wont be to late April

Yep, im still not done the work on my car, she’s not coming back out until there is nothing left on the streets in april or may some time.

I’m looking for some Escalade rims. If anyone knows and deals let me know. As soon as I get them, they are going on, but that will probably be in a month or two.

Eskie rims are sweet on D21’s. Quite a bit of work to get them on though, isnt it?

My sources say they will fit perfectly…then again I am only going on what Flavio told me :hit

Really??? I remember hearing tales of drilling and filing. Maybe look into it. :hit

drilling and filing what? All I know is that they are 6 bolt and so is the truck :huh

I dont know if you are registered on NissanMinis.com, so I dont know if this link will work for you.

The centre of the rim has to be bored out 3.95 inches apparantly, and you have to buy “bulge acorn” lug nuts.

machine shop can do it should be less than 50 bucks. just tell them what you need and it should be fine. it just the part of the rim that goes around the hub. (the plastic ring you get with rims) you just need to do the opposite. and the lug nuts are not hard to find

Or you can turn the hubs down apparantly. Not a lot of work, but they wont slide right on.

Thanks guys… :axe: :ditto: Flav said it would be way easier than that…

Is that $50 a rim?

Awesome link Dave. I nam now registered. Thanks again PS: your msn is being GHEY again!

should be 50 total. i would turn down the rims and not the hubs cuz the rims ar way cheaper than a hub if you want to stick different rims on down the road.

Someone will have to show me because I’m like what and the whoha. lol but thanks guys.

in the middle of the rotor the cap that stick into the middle of your wheel

you need to shave the eski rims to fit over that
your hubs are 3.95 inches across the eski rims are around 3.5 i think. on the back of the rims in the middle is where this would go

hope this helps
