If anyone has any of these laying around, I’d be more than happy to pay you what you think they’re worth and come get them tomorrow.

Have you tried any of the German repair shops?

I only figured out what the fuck was happening about 30 minutes ago, so no
@LUKE_L

I didnt hear any beers cracking echoing through the trees so I was unaware of the timeline!

well the half empty case of Yuengling suggests I’ve gotten a lot done over the past couple days, but i need these little bastard relays to finish the job. They’re a universal type deal so I don’t think any german shop might have them…

a guy on bimmerforums suggested the use of a reed switch to make sure I had enough current to trigger a traditional relay - gonna look into those

I see the problem with an estimated ship date of 6/8/16 from summit lol

that might be a typo. possibly it is 6/8/2015? Their shipping is typically impossibly quick so perhaps they figure out time travel and they can ship items 6 months before you order them?

Rexel? do you need them to have that plug type or could you add a pigtail?

I would prefer the type with the spades at the bottom since I already have it wired to use those…but, I can reconfigure the ends to work with whatever.

I emailed our sales guy there to see what they have in stock.

Thanks man - I’m shooting a PM out to Mike ( @tpgsr) as well

Who is your sales guy? I am looking for something. Do you know how much current you have to spare for the coil draw?

I measured around .5A with headlights on.

Norb, I have a 700-HF32Z12 Electromechanical relay in stock. The spec sheet says that the coil consumes 0.9W which is .075A at 12V. While not ideal this may get you out of trouble.

I also have din rail mount, terminal block styl,e Solid State relays but they are pretty large.

Hope you got it working.

it turns out the issue was being caused by something inside the OEM HVAC unit. I do appreciate everyone’s help. This community is really amazing. Thanks to all!

He’s my huckleberry too.

Lol…i prob annoy the hell outta him with all of my oddball quote requests.
