I think what adam posted earlier was you can’t detonate without fuel, but if you just kill the pump your injectors will still be firing, and your fuel pressure wont drop instantly.

There are a couple topics on freshalloy of people having fuel pump failures and it blowing their motors.

Fuel cut is a common safety feature built in from the factory on turbocharged vehicles and I presume that is what Gonad is trying to do here. Its a safety function that doesnt harm the engine unless you stay on it like an idiot. My DSM is notorious for this, too much of an air count and bronco style bucking would ensue.

Go for it if thats what you want, if its done properly its a good safety measure.

There’s obviously a reason why Nissan (and probablly other car makers)
decided to fuel cut on speed limits.

Obviously the warning light + bucking is enough to tell me to let off
throttle.
