As the title states its time to replace the original speakers on my 2007 silverado. Where is the best place to get a semi decent set on the cheap?
Ebay
Find out what you want and eBay will most likely be the cheapest, that’s where I buy all my audio. Or try Kenny
kenny or sonicelectronix, or search amazon, i got my deck 80 bucks cheaper than list from some discount place, iirc it was discountjungle or something like that.
Crutchfield’s site to find what fits the car, then search the part number through google. Usually you can find a decent deal, be it ebay or whatever. Or Kenny, parts and installs, hes good people.
Look on www.crutchfield.com for what you want and then search for the part #'s on ebay.
:rofl Telepathic Jellies!
I’ve always done amazon after looking up what I want on crutchfield.
If you just want something dirt cheap then Amazon / Ebay is usually the best. However, they are both unauthorized dealers for most brands so they will almost always be refurbished (they may not disclose that either) and the manufacturer warranty will be completely void. Crutchfield is a great online site and they are an authorized dealer for the brands they carry. Let me know what size speakers and what type of speaker you are looking for (cheap coaxial, decent coaxial, component, etc) and I can get some pricing together for you. I am an authorized dealer of Alpine, Kenwood, JVC, and some other ‘cheaper’ brands as well.
Couple quick questions:
- Do you have the standard audio system or the premium (Bose?)?
- Single cab or extended cab?
- Are you looking for just fronts, just rears, or both?
Everything I’ve gotten on amazon has been brand new. True about the warranty, but it was cheap enough that I could easily have bought a replacement if I had to and still been below crutchfield prices.
Kenny my truck is an extended cab with the regular CD player + AM/FM radio RPO code UB0 and it has the enhanced audio package UQ3 so there are 2 speakers in each front door. The front speakers are shot and one of the rear door speakers is dead. I’m perfectly happy with the sound quality of the OEM shit I just don’t really feel like paying 50 bucks a piece for OEM speakers if there is something comperable for less.
You can get alphasonik component speakers for dirt cheap off onlinecarstereo.com and they’re great. If you want to get the cheapest deals you look for model numbers and search on ebay (like everyone else is suggesting). Sometimes google shopping can help find the cheapest site with the model number and they include amazon, ebay, woofersetc, etc…
In my A4 I used an Alphasonik 5 channel amp running 2 sets of Alphasonik component speakers. For the price I paid you can’t beat the sound quality I was getting out of them.
