Gn
:dunno: give me the contact numbers, and I’ll check them out for you
eleanor didnt have a 460 in it
Yes little better motor, both are 99 % complete, 67 needs matching rims, and an 3rd member, front piaa lights, Gn needs speedo gear in tranny matched for proper gear ratio, rears discs installed, along with the SS(Stainless steel) brake lines. 67 had 50k with a frame off resto, Gn 64k no frame off.
Stage 2 GN all the way…it’s a $30K car when done and will run low 9’s with AC.
What city is the GN in?
I think the decision should be base on what you plan to do with the car. Both cars would re-sell easily so I don’t see a huge different there. For straight acceleration mods, I think both could achieve the same trap times and it might be a little cheaper to build up the Mustang (just an instinct there). If you want to worry about handling, then you need to consider which one can get to the lower weight without sacrificing creature comforts that you want and which one has better suspension geomtery (probably the GN) assuming you don’t what to change pickup points, etc.
I have a desire for both cars and have driven a well built GN, and a similar 67, I am not looking to just 1/4 mile it something to hold on to, 1/4 mile, possible lap track fun, but I was also looking for the rareity which both hold. price really wasn’t an option. I have researched both setups, motor wise which was my main concern, and had questions on the stage 2 possible failure,IE… injectors, coil packs ignition, and the big D word detonation, I have a keen knowledge on the 67’s centrifical BBB(big block blower)setup, and how it reacts. I just needed some insight on the stage 2 possible problems, I have built stock Gn setups with all stock componets. To my understanding the only thing different in the stage 2 s the aluim block, cyl wall post size, deck clearence, and head setup. any thing else?
:bigthumb:
I thought Foose made Eleanor.
As for the choice. I would go for the GN. Either way you go there are a shitload of other cars that will look exactly the same as yours. But with the GN it came from the factory that way. You have to make the mustang look like everyone else’s Eleanor.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
I’m throwing the flag on this thread :bsflag:
Eleanor - the setup in that car sounds good
What is it that “I dont know what I am talking about” dont be a punk ass bitch, shut your mouth and keep your dumbass comments to ur self , if all you wanna do is hate!
 :mrT:
No hatin, if you were looking into a stage 2 car it would have a suitable engine management system that inj, coil packs, and detonation would be hardly of concern. Nobody runs a Stage 2 on a Buick ECM.
That’s why I asked where the car was located, there’s only a few reputable stage 2 guys.
Your responses on “deck clearance and cyl wall post size” further convinved me you didn’t know what your talking about. Most S2 people address items like whether it’s an on or off center block, wet or dry sump, and main bolt orientation…
How did the stock GN setups you built run?
Your first post indicated your were buying one of the two, so when will you be buying the GN or Mustang?
Thus me stateing that I was unaware of the systems setup, or possible fuctionality, all combustion motors operate in the same basic theoretical idea, “Air pump”, my point was that I have never been season nor addressed to the ideas of the the stage 2 setup, thats why I asked for help. My expreience with the stock setup’s where tearing down, honeing block, porting heads, seting clearences, timing, with stock componets, and installing monitoring detination on the dyno and understanding way it was occuring and therefore remeding it. So the question of a stage 2 setup was asked in the difference and what to look out for when the purchase is made.
I will know of my purchase when some of the questions are answered, I know there are knowlegable ppl on here with tins of experience in dealing with the GN and its aftermarket possibilities and headaches.thats all, but non the less both are readly availble to buy.
why not just finish the 8 second monte SS thats on stock street suspension
yeah g body
i know what my guess for u to get is!!! i dont have to say :boink
I think alot of those do run 8’s…in the eighth mile :kekegay:
not stock suspension, but thats for the support. monte’s done. im leaning towards the gn
you mind posting a pic of these said GN/67 mustang?
also if you can post pic of monte along with time slip
