ehhh for your heating duct it really won’t need to be plenum rated…but I guess safe than sorry. Really it is just to meet building/fire codes…just wrap regular cable in tin foil :lol:
The air inside your duct-work is not so hot that it would warrant the need for plenum. Only real reason for plenum is to stop a fire from spreading if the cable was in a room that was on fire.
Also, plenum cable does not smoke when burned. So if a fire were to start, I wouldn’t subject the entire house to the toxic fumes of burning ethernet cable which may inhibit my exiting from said burning house.
